Minden tudásuk ellenére a tudósoknak a mai napig nem sikerült megfejteni a "Trovant" kövek titkát, nincs rá magyarázatuk,hogy a köveken lévő dudorok miért néznek ki úgy, mint a gyökerek. Ha kettévágunk egy ilyen követ, akkor olyan belül, mint egy fa, színes évgyűrűkkel.
Ezek a kövek majdnem úgy viselkednek, mint valami ismeretlen szervetlen életforma!
A helyi lakosok már több, mint 100 éve tisztában van a kövek szokatlan tulajdonságaival, de soha nem szenteltek nekik különleges figyelmet. A köveket gyakran használták építési anyagként és sírkő helyett. ( Állítólag vámpírok sírkövei.)
